FAQ
Common Questions
Do I need to know exactly what I want to change before reaching out?
Not at all. Most people start without a clear plan. That's actually what the Discovery Conversation is for. We'll talk through where you are and what's been on your mind, and figure out a direction together.
Are sessions in person or virtual?
Both. I love meeting outdoors (a trail, a park, even the grocery store) for clients around Selinsgrove and the surrounding towns of central Pennsylvania. If you're further away, we can work together just as fully by phone, video, or secure messaging.
How is health coaching different from therapy or working with a dietitian?
Coaching isn't a replacement for medical or mental health treatment. If you need diagnosis or clinical care, I'll always encourage working with a licensed provider alongside our work together. What I focus on is the everyday: building habits, staying consistent, and having support between the big appointments.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what you're looking for. In my experience, clients who commit to the 3-month journey tend to see much stronger, lasting results, and there's a reason for that. Right around the fourth or fifth session, it's common for old patterns to creep back in. Your brain is wired to resist change, because change means stepping into the unknown, and the unknown can feel unsafe, even when it's leading somewhere good. That's exactly the moment we work through together: anticipating that pull backward, staying with it instead of around it, and turning it into what it really is, a gift that moves you forward.
Do you work with people managing chronic health conditions?
Yes, and it's an area I'm deeply passionate about. Living with Type 1 diabetes has given me firsthand insight into how blood sugar and metabolism can affect nearly every aspect of health, from energy levels to stress, anxiety, and mood. While many people seek coaching for chronic conditions, others simply want to feel better, build healthier habits, or improve their overall well-being. Whatever brings you here, my role is to support and guide you while working alongside your healthcare team, never in place of it.
